The Port Adelaide Football Club (SANFL) understand and appreciate the many challenges that Country Footballers face when trying to progress up to the highest level.

That is why the Port Adelaide Football Club (SANFL) County Academy was introduced. We hope that Country players, Country Leagues and Clubs embrace this concept to allow the Talented player an opportunity to develop into the best possible footballer he can be.

This football academy is a major part of our club’s strategic focus of developing junior talent over the next few years, providing young footballers with the opportunity to progress to SANFL and even AFL level.

The major aims of the football academy are:
• To provide talented junior footballers with an elite player development program which will provide them with increased opportunities to progress to elite levels of the game (SANFL, AFL).
• Provide regional areas with advanced coaching tuition and programs.
• To provide talented junior footballers on the Eyre Peninsula with opportunities to travel to Adelaide to play football at SANFL level (U17/U19’s).
• To fast track the development of talented junior players on the Eyre Peninsula.

Mission Statement
To provide junior footballers on the Eyre Peninsula with increased opportunities to play football at the elite level – SANFL and AFL football - by providing an advanced education training and development program.
At the same time, this program will assist local leagues and associations with the provision of additional coach education opportunities that will strengthen football on the Eyre Peninsula.
