HELP NEEDED
“Host Families”
WANTED
The PAFC is in the process of organising the relocation of several of our talented underage footballers from our country zone. This relocation of country players into our football programs here at Alberton Oval on a full time basis is an integral part of our talented player pathway. To allow for a smooth transition from country to city, we believe finding suitable living arrangements with a “Host Family” to be the best scenario.
Are you, or is there someone you know, able to open up your home to one or two of our most talented country players?
The Host Family would be paid an agreed amount fortnightly or monthly to help cover the costs involved. This negotiation is usually conducted by the Host Family and the parents of the relocating player.
Our club has had some wonderful families open their home’s to our players in past years, but we are in desperate need of more. Some former Port Adelaide players who have been through the experience of living with a Host Family include, Andrew McLeod, Corey Ahchee, Nigel Fiegert, Harry Miller and Scott Lycett (now playing AFL for West Coast Eagles) just to name a few.
For more information about what is involved, please contact either Tony Bamford (Talent Manager) or Julian Farkas (Development Manager) on 8447 4044 or email to tbamford@pafc.com.au
or jfarkas@pafc.com.au
