15th Jul 2010 “The PAMFC would like to announce that our CEO Greg Edwards has recently resigned effective from the end of this season. Greg has chosen to move back to the North Adelaide FC, where he spent the previous 6 years in development coaching roles, to take up a newly created and quite unique football management position not available at our club nor elsewhere in the SANFL. Greg and his family have close ties with North Adelaide FC with his two sons Shane (now with Richmond) and Kym (currently playing under 18’s) both coming through their junior ranks, and his father being a former North Adelaide player.
Whilst this is disappointing for us, Greg has worked extremely hard over the past 12 months to put our club in a much better and stronger financial position to ensure we move forward with confidence into 2011 and beyond. His commitment to our cause, often above and beyond, during this time will always be remembered and much appreciated. The Board of the PAMFC has moved swiftly to secure the best replacement for Greg, and we hope to be in a position to make an announcement in the next 2 weeks.
We wish Greg and his family all the best for the future. Greg has enjoyed his time at Alberton and wishes the new CEO and the club every success over the next few seasons with its very exciting young playing list and continued strong financial support from its members, sponsors and the Prince of Wales Hotel at Queenstown.”
