Round 7: Port Adelaide v West Adelaide Preview
By Russell Jones

Port Adelaide will be looking to get their season back on track this weekend after an unfortunate loss to the Panthers at Alberton Oval on Saturday.

The Magpies travel to City Mazda Stadium to face a third-ranked West Adelaide side that returns from fielding an understrength Foxtel Cup side last week.

The eighth-placed Magpies have had a disappointing start to the season, but will be hoping to bounce back against the Bloods at Richmond.

The respective positions of the two teams are a far cry from the last time the two sides met in a trial match earlier this year, where Port emerged 100 point victors.

The Magpies may have to do without Brett Ebert who could be in line for an AFL call-up after a fantastic five goal performance against the Panthers last week.

The Pies have plenty to be positive about after winning the last three outings against the Bloods, including a 66 point victory the last time the two teams met in the regular season at Richmond.

Port also receive an additional boost through the news that Jarrod Young is available for selection after accepting a reprimand for a charge of forceful front on contact in the game against South Adelaide last week.

The first bounce is at 2:10pm on Saturday afternoon at City Mazda Stadium, Richmond. The reserves kick off at 11:25am.

Tickets are available at the gate for $14 for adults, $8 for concession and kids under 18 get in for free.
