Raikiwasa & Broomhead to make League debut

Raikiwasa & Broomhead to make League debut

The Port Adelaide Football Club wishes to congratulate Aseri Raikiwasa and Tim Broomhead who will make their League Debuts on Saturday in our round 7 clash against West Adelaide at City Mazda Stadium. Both players are members of our Football Academies and our 2011 Under 18’s Premiership side and shows the strength of the talent coming through our local and country programs.

Aseri is a product of our Country Football Academy. He relocated to Adelaide from Arno Bay on the Eyre Peninsula to complete his year 12 studies and play for South Australia in the AFL Under 18 nationals last year. He has performed consistently well at reserves level so far this year and deserves this opportunity at league level.

Tim was a member of our Metro Football Academy. He has progressed through our Centre of Excellence Talent Pathway Programs starting back at an U13 level. He is currently in the SA U18 State Squad preparing for the 2012 AFL National Championships. His development over the past 2 years has been rapid, mostly due to his unwavering commitment to improve himself in all aspects of his footy.

“Both young men are a pleasure to coach and well respected within our group. We wish them all the best.” Coach Tony Bamford.
